From many years, the question of the identification and the authenticity of the musical instruments – especially the ones of recent construction - in the word of lutherie has become ever more pressing.
M.I.R. S.r.l. has been created in order to share differences experiences in the world of lutherie, with the common aim to offer the professional insiders – and all the other subjects, that it need – the essential information to identify a specific musical instrument in the most definitive and incontestable way, through information provided from the same luthiers.
Luthiers and collectors can register the instruments directly, through high-definition images complete with every historical and technical information. Then the platform will assign them an ID-Code. This unique code will be used from the manufacturer in order to identify the instrument more specifically.
Our task is to verify the identity of the subject who registers the instruments in the platform – he will be the one who can guarantee the authorship, the origin and the manufacture of the instruments. No one else except the manufacturer can register information about the instrument.
